Overview

World's Edge, a fascinating but deadly battlefield in the Apex Legends universe, is located on the planet Talos. The landscape is characterized by a stark contrast between metropolitan construction sites, frozen natural wonders and molten lava trails. The main location, Skyhook, is a massive city with towers built for vertical combat, with unprecedented overviews and ambushes.
A train yard littered with pristine loot is a high-risk place for players hoping for a reward. The hair-raising Frostbite Caverns and Lava City offer crackling fires and icy hazards that challenge newcomers and veterans alike. The epicenter, the vast icy site of the blast, bears the scars of a forgotten disaster, forcing players to travel carefully.
From icy peaks to fiery valleys, World's Edge's stunning aesthetic creates an ever-changing tactical experience. It's full of prominent landmarks, lots of loot, and passageways that offer unique strategic playstyles.
World's Edge's sheer variety and constant threat make every game a learning experience. It's a constant battle of fire and ice, luck and destruction, survival against all odds, and truly captures the spirit of Apex Legends.

History

Known for its beautiful scenery and dangerous cliffs, The World's Edge was introduced in Outlands 3 in Apex Legends season. This awe-inspiring landscape wasn't always the legendary battlefield it is known for today. Brought back to its peaceful days, it was a popular tourist destination with its pristine beauty.
Located on the edge of the planet Thala, World's Edge was originally a stately city full of advanced technology and cheerful inhabitants. The breathtaking scenery with tall skyscrapers that look like they were carved out of ice, green fields with amazing high-tech wind turbines and lava vents were a sight to behold. However, an event occurred that turned the peaceful environment into a chaotic nightmare. Underground tunnels filled with flammable gas exploded without warning. The entire city was caught in a shattering explosion, the shock waves of which caused massive fractures that literally and figuratively tore the city apart.
After the collapse, many parts of the area were redeveloped. Lava began to pour profusely through the fissures, turning the End of the World into an ominous landscape. Ice-covered areas that once glistened in the sun have been replaced by flaming lava pits.
Later, the city faded away and an eerie silence settled over the area. The edge of the world remained a ghost town for a long time, the memory of its beauty stuck in ashes.
But among the rugged terrain, remnants of a rich past can still be seen. A derelict train, once a marvel of engineering, winds its way across the landscape, its sound echoing through the abandoned city. Apex Legends, turned World's Edge Arena, brought the ruins back to life, and the rusted hollow structure came to life with echoes of gunfire and chaos, transforming it into a battlefield of legends. Even in the face of destruction, World's Edge stands as a testament to the former glory it once had.

Background

The edge of the world, the frozen rock and fiery depths of Thala, is a different and carefully constructed place in the Apex Legends universe. It was founded after the catastrophic event at Kings Canyon, after a failed scientific experiment.
The place provides a stark contrast between the icy landscape of the north and the molten fury of the south. Capitol City Center City showcases human development and urban planning. Together, these areas create an interesting battlefield with different Legends strategies and playstyles. The verticality of the fields is interrupted by a massive epicenter, an explosion of frozen ice that bears witness to an accident involving a mysterious artifact. A glance in the other direction reveals a railway line running through the heart of the map, another iconic element of World's Edge.
The southern section features a sorting plant with moving conveyors and heated lava, while the northern section is illuminated by the glow of a massive Skyhook that echoes the rumble of an elevated rail line.
As the Legends battle for supremacy, they navigate tunnel systems beneath the site, scale skyscrapers, and dodge deadly molten lava. The challenges are many, but the rewards are very rich. With its challenging terrain and hidden locations, World's Edge offers a challenging experience for any legend who dares to set foot here. Despite the turmoil and danger, it is this country that can bring glory to the Apex Games. Every corner of World's Edge has a story waiting to be uncovered by the brave and the experts.
