History

In the Fate/Grand Order universe, France holds a prominent place due to its accurate representation in the game's first chapter, The Hundred Years War of Evil Dragons - Orleans. Established in 1431 AD, this era was plagued by a cataclysmic event that summoned hordes of dragons, causing destruction and horror.
This example of France was manipulated by the Dragon Witch Joan of Arc (Alter), a forged heroic spirit corrupted by the wishes of Gilles de Rais. The present day Joan of Arc, Saint of Redemption, has ventured into this warped reality with the players to set things right.
This version of France paints a bleak and bleak picture, with cities lying in ruins and people living in constant fear. The Holy Dragon known to Zhan Alter caused the greatest despair, destroying everything in its path with its terrible powers. The French section features several real and fictional French historical figures such as Marie Antoinette and Mozart. Their influences and roles create a unique fusion of history and fantasy, defined by the story of gameplay and immersion in this universe.
The final epic battle takes place at La Pucelle, ending in great victory and the continuation of human history. Although the French version has been restored, turmoil and discord continue to reverberate throughout the storyline, cementing France's position in the Fate/Grand Order universe as a symbol of courage and resistance to despair. As they journey through Fate/Grand Order France, players will encounter knights and villains, wisdom and cunning, making it a memorable part of the vast Destiny universe.

Background

France in the Fate/Grand Order universe is depicted as a beautiful but turbulent nation during the Hundred Years' War, haunted by a Grail-induced distortion that caused humans and heroic spirits to lose their minds. Paris is transformed into a terrifying battlefield, where the grandeur of the Notre-Dame Cathedral contrasts starkly with a sky filled with despair. Scenes of war and chaos unfold in peaceful landscapes of the once majestic Old Town.
France, used as the setting for the Orleans chapter, depicts the tyrannical rule of the corrupt Jeanne D'Arc Alter. This modification of the Maid of Orleans, the famous heroine who led France to victory in the Hundred Years' War in real life, adds intrigue and mystery to the plot, making the game especially intense as you wander the lands of France. In addition, the game reinterprets figures from France's vast heroic literature, such as the valiant knight Chevalier d'Eon and the infamous seductress Marie Antoinette, adding depth to the game's compelling story against the backdrop of French culture and history.
But France in the Fate/Grand Order universe isn't all war and despair. There is a glimmer of hope in the form of alliances with heroic spirits, and the player's quest to restore humanity embodies the resilience and courage that symbolizes France's historic spirit of "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity".
