Plot
In London, Diana struggles with the customs and gender bias of the period, but is determined to stop the war. Despite the skepticism of Steve's superiors, the two assemble a motley crew of heroes and embark on a mission to find and stop German General Ludendorff (Danny Huston), whom Diana believes to be Ares in disguise. The mission takes them to no man's land, where Diana's full power and true identity as an Amazonian demigoddess is revealed. She single-handedly frees the village, inspiring her companions and earning her the moniker of Wonder Woman.
The climactic showdown with Ludendorff turns into an epic battle with the real Ares. With her heroic spirit, Diana defeats Ares and asserts that love is stronger than war. After the truce, Diana says goodbye to her first love, Steve, and remains in a man's world, vowing to continue her mission as a peacekeeper.

Production
Principal photography began in 2015. on November 21, a year and a half before the film's official release. Filmed under the working title Nightingale, filming took place in the UK, France and Italy. Much of the project's uniqueness lies in its international locations, including the Amalfi Coast, which served as the backdrop for Wonder Woman's home of Themyscira. Director Patty Jenkins, with exceptional vision and tenacity, was able to make it happen. He created a world that was both romantic and wild, a fitting setting for a character of such complex duality.
The production design team, led by Aline Bonetto, worked diligently to bring to the screen the mythical world of the Amazons and the harsh reality of the First World War. The costumes, designed by Lindy Hemming, contributed greatly to the visual narrative. In particular, Wonder Woman's iconic costume was the perfect combination of practicality and aesthetics, showcasing the strength and elegance of the titular character. Special consideration was also given to the fight choreography. A team of experts in various martial arts had to ensure that the action sequences were believable and exciting. Scene by scene, the film captured the essence of Wonder Woman: a wonderful character, compassionate and, above all, a symbol of hope.
The tireless efforts of the production team have come together in an epic story that celebrates feminist themes and empowers the audience. A true testament to their dedication, Wonder Woman has since become a critical and commercial success, paving the way for the character's continued presence in the DC Extended Universe.

Reception
Cultural impact
The film was critically acclaimed not only for its compelling storyline and stellar performances, but also for its portrayal of progressive feminism. Critics and audiences applauded Wonder Woman's portrayal of physical strength and emotional vulnerability in the film. This sparked a lot of debate about the portrayal of women in comics and costume design, facilitating practical action sequences rather than just visual appeal.
Additionally, Wonder Woman made box office history by becoming the highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman. This commercial success marked a shift in audiences toward more egalitarian storytelling and opened the door for more women to direct and direct blockbusters.
In schools and at home, Wonder Woman became a talking point and a source of power. The film's influence was not limited to entertainment, with industries from fashion to action figures releasing Wonder Woman-themed merchandise celebrating the strength and power of women. Ultimately, Wonder Woman's cultural impact has had several consequences, from inspiring young girls to challenge stereotypes, encouraging the film industry to rethink traditional female roles, and changing the landscape of collectible action figures. The compelling story and central character of the film is a powerful testament to the changing perspective of women in superhero roles.
