Plot

In Spider-Man: Miles Morales, our main character is a teenager who is just getting used to his new superpowers. Miles is mentored by Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, who teaches him what it means to be a superhero. The game opens with Parker leaving New York under the care of Morales while on vacation with Mary Jane Watson.
In Parker's absence, war breaks out between the high-tech criminal army Tinkerer's Underground and the Roxxon Energy Corporation led by Simon Krieger. Having developed unique bio-electric venom blasts and invisibility powers, Morales must now shoulder the responsibility of being New York's only Spider-Man. Morales lives in Harlem, near his late mother, where Roxxon is building a nuclear reactor called the NuForm Reactor. Morales' best friend Phin, who is also a Tinker, blames Roxxon for his brother's death. A conflict arises between the two sides and an innocent civilian finds himself in the middle of the warpath.
Throughout the game, Morales learns about the importance of the integrity of his neighborhood, corporate greed that can harm a community, and the cost of being a hero.
