The Original Series revolves around the adventures of Captain Kirk and his crew as they explore the last frontier. The Animated Series continues these adventures in an animated form unprecedented at the time. Next Generation follows the crew of the new starship Enterprise exploring the universe under the command of Captain Picard. Breaking with tradition with a fixed setting, Deep Space Nine focuses on daily life and political intrigue on a strategically important space station near a unique and stable wormhole. The Voyager follows a crew stranded in the distant Delta Quadrant whose journey home reveals unknown regions and alien cultures. The latest episode, Enterprise, is a prequel to the original series and highlights the pioneering days of human space exploration.
These seasons not only describe different parts of the Star Trek universe, but also different aspects of that universe's society, politics, and philosophy. From the search for new life and new civilizations to humanity's efforts to maintain peace and justice in the galactic community, the seasons of Star Trek offer compelling stories and commentary on the human condition.
