Overview
The Navy's commitment to the law includes a strict principle of "absolute fairness." However, the implementation of these morals often varies between members, creating unique stories and moral dilemmas in the series. The naval headquarters at Marineford is a testament to their strength and dominance. It is a symbol that emphasizes the organization's intention to crush the era of pirates.
Renowned for their epic sea battles against pirate crews, the Navy's power lies not only in their greater numbers, but also in the various Haki powers of the Devil Fruits and their members. Although the navy is trained to serve and protect, One Piece often assumes the role of antagonist, in stark contrast to the protagonist's pirates. Following their activities throughout the series, viewers are introduced to a complex group whose mission is to maintain balance in a world in chaos.
History
Since the inception of world government, the Navy has been the primary enforcer of law and order, tasked with enforcing laws around the world. The influence of the Navy, the pillar of world power, stretching back hundreds of years, is intertwined with world records.
At the heart of their story is their noble mission: to combat the threat of piracy. Lured by the rampant chaos following the Great Age of Pirates, they formed a bulwark against piracy. Ironically, the Navy's execution of Pirate King Gold Roger ushered in an era of piracy that they were supposed to destroy. But they are determined to fight this pirate menace, a testament to their unwavering commitment to justice.
Over the years, the Navy has undergone major reforms under the leadership of numerous naval admirals. The biggest change came under Fleet Admiral Sakazuki, known as Admiral Akainu. A staunch advocate of absolute justice, he moved the Navy's headquarters to the New World, demonstrating the Navy's determination to confront major threats head-on. Their history remains marked by controversy. The line between justice and naval action often blurs, and the Ohara incident is a stark, silent reminder of the Navy's actions in pursuit of so-called "justice." But the Navy is also home to people like Admiral Fujitora who want to reform it from within.
From the beginning of the Navy to the present day, they have been a force in history, relentlessly racing the waves of the high seas, tirelessly striving for a safer world. Students from all over the world tell of their encounters with the fearsome pirates and their exploits. Their story is a living proof of their indomitable spirit and relentless fight against the darkness of the world.
In a world of conflict and uncertainty, they sail steadfastly, their flags fluttering in the sea breeze, a dedication to justice, a beacon of light to show the way. Their troubled and turbulent past is the starting point for a future where they finally want to put an end to piracy in the world of One Piece.

Geography
Naval jurisdiction covers most civilian-populated regions of the world. It has numerous bases and offices spread across the four blues, as well as extending its reach into the dangerous regions of the Grand Line and the New World. Interestingly, G-1, one of their bases, was relocated to the vast New World after the pivotal war, further emphasizing their ever-expanding geostrategic influence.
From frigid bases in the Blue North to tropical naval bases in the South, the maritime geography is as diverse as it is vast. This helps them fulfill their duties of maintaining law and order around the world and thwarting pirate threats. They sail these vast and unpredictable seas in their huge ships, their sails decorated with the symbol of universal law, the sign of absolute justice represented by the fleet.
