Creating Sonic the Hedgehog has been a painstaking journey to present the iconic video game character in a new but faithful way. The process began with intense brainstorming and extensive storyboarding to ensure that the character of Sonic was preserved in this new cinematic representation.
The designers faced a major challenge in transferring Sonic from 2D to 3D, in order to preserve the appeal of the original character and make him realistic in reality. Also, the production team worked tirelessly to maintain a balance of comedy, action and story throughout the film to make it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The perfect combination of all these elements ultimately resulted in a very successful and entertaining Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
