The series takes place in a world where magic coexists with modern society. It revolves around the Holy Grail War, a brutal magical tournament that takes place between seven wizards known as the Masters and their spirit companions, heroic spirits known as Keepers. In this war, Rin Tohsaka and his servant Archer find themselves in the thick of battle.
