Overview
Decepticons can travel undetected through a spacecraft via the ventilation system, stealthily picking off unsuspecting crew members and causing sabotage, chaos and distraction. But the true artistry of the hoax in "Between Us" lies in the deception. By blending in, acting innocent and subtly casting suspicion on others during arguments, imposters can manipulate the crew into going out on their own, bringing them closer to a sinister victory.
However, fraudsters are not necessarily lone predators. Multiple cheaters can participate in a single match, opening the way for possible alliances and teamwork while cheating. It's the dynamics of roles, strategy, and psychology in this universe of Among Us that make the Deceiver Faction so compelling and complex. A fusion of stealth action, strategy and compelling tactics defines the impostor's play style, making each round of Among Us an intense and thrilling experience, shrouded in paranoia and mystery. Anyone can be a trickster, knowledge as powerful as it is terrifying, pushing anyone to the brink of trust and betrayal.
History
In the story of the Between Us universe, impostors are aliens who invade a crew disguised as a crew member. They look identical to the crew members and perform the same duties or functions for a perfect fit; however, their purpose is deceptively menacing. The tricksters aim to steal crew members one by one, keeping their status low, avoiding suspicion and successfully blaming others for their work. To make the game more challenging and interesting, the developers created pretenders with unique abilities. They can use the vents to move quickly through the ship, sabotaging critical systems and wreaking havoc, giving them more opportunities to strike. While the crew members are busy solving these problems, the impostor continues to lurk in the shadows, plotting his next move and causing the crew to become paranoid.
Cheaters can also affect the overall outcome of the game by manipulating crew members into voting against innocent members in meetings, resulting in their removal. This psychological warfare was a new concept and added another exciting aspect to the game. At first, the role of an impostor was considered a difficult task due to the heavy burden of secrecy and deception. But once players got the hang of it, they began to experience the thrill of being imposters, mastering the art of manipulation and control while sneaking around undetected. Despite their infamous role, there's no denying that it's the impersonators that add the essence of the Among Us universe, along with the tension and drama of the game. The duality of the trickster's role, embodying both predator and prey, left a fascinating impression on players, making Between Us a unique game of its genre.

Geography
Their skills are honed in The Skeld's winding corridors and raging rooms. Pretenders use blocking vents in Mira's HQ for quick and stealthy movement. Finally, Polus Outpost's wide spread of buildings requires rapid transit and a deeper understanding of the landscape. Tricksters here have mastered the art of blending into a large area, ensuring quick sabotage, a task that requires considerable geographic knowledge.
Whether it's the cold isolation of Polo, the high-tech headquarters of Myra, or the secluded Skeld, the tricksters' geographical knowledge is the key to their cunning manipulations. It's worth noting that even though they probably took over the bodies of the crew members, they still manage to get the geography of these places right. This translates to an innate ability to quickly understand and memorize layouts, making them formidable opponents on any Between Us map.
