The space occupied by Ogawa Studios is not all latex and paint. Instead, it's a world full of history and innovation. Ogawa Studios' roots go back to the mid-20th century. Founded by Seizo Ogawa, this business has grown from a small shop in Tokyo to a global name that symbolizes imagination. Ogawa's pioneering spirit is the lifeblood of our universe.

Seizo Ogawa, a skilled craftsman with a penchant for creativity, began his journey through the messy streets of Tokyo. Dissatisfied with the simplicity of everyday life, he tried to bring fun and humor into everyday life. Seizo was inspired by the colorful municipal celebrations and began his journey creating masks for local markets. This is how Ogawa Studios was born.

• 1950s - 1960s: Ogawa Studios quickly gained local recognition during these decades thanks to tireless dedication and unique craftsmanship. Seizo masks have become a popular choice at festivals, parties and events.

• 1970-1980: these decades marked a period of significant growth. Ogawa Studios has expanded its repertoire not only with masks, but also with costumes and props.

• 1990s Present: Despite many challenges, Ogawa Studios continued to innovate and reinvent, becoming a legendary name in the costume industry.

The studios are located among the lush green Okutama Mountains, the largest of their kind in the region. The mountains envelop the studio in serenity, their jagged peaks creating a dramatic backdrop. Vast pristine forests hugging the mountains paint a vibrant tapestry of greenery, home to a variety of flora and fauna that add charm to the studios.

Next to the studios is the beautiful Ogawa River. Crystal-clear river water teeming with aquatic life meanders through the valleys, reflecting sparkling sunlight. The ethereal waterfall that cascades down the river and crashes against the rocky shores is especially worth a miss.
