Overview

Starship hero Aurora represents essential technology and exploration in the vast Subnautica universe. After an unexpected crash on an unknown ocean planet, this giant spaceship has now become an important landmark for both the player and the various marine life beneath the planet's waves.
The ship is also a reservoir of critical resources, tools, and blueprint fragments necessary for survival and advancement. History

Subnautica's main setting, Aurora, has a lot of history within its decaying shell. Aurora was sent from the Mongol States, one of the trans-governments that ruled Earth in the late 22nd century. The goal was to build a phase gate in Ariadne's hand, opening the way to travel to unknown realms.
However, the plot took a drastic turn when Aurora failed to land on planet 4546B. The cause of the accident turned out to be a dangerously installed shield that was unknowingly but persistently compromised by an unnamed person. In fact, there was a secret mission to find and rescue the survivors of the Degasi, another spacecraft that also crashed on the same planet.
Aurora's landing on planet 4546B has reverberating effects. The crash scattered debris and debris over a large area and introduced and allowed for accidental human contact with various alien life forms. The consequences of these events changed the fate of the planet's ecosystem and lifted the automated quarantine imposed by the predecessors.
The remains of Aurora now mark a bustling hub of activity, home to underwater predators, scattered shards of technology waiting to be discovered, and the mystery of an alien arc. Despite being a monument to the catastrophe, the Aurora Wreck is a constant reminder of humanity's encounter with unknown and unforeseen challenges. Background

The Aurora is a giant interstellar spaceship from planet Earth under the control of the Alterra Corporation. Working as a commercial and industrial entity, Aurora began its journey into the 22nd century. His primary mission was to create a phase portal—a type of wormhole that allows rapid access to vast expanses of space—near the periphery of Ariadne's arm.
However, Aurora's mission was abruptly cut short when it crash-landed on planet 4546B. An unknown pulse of energy was emitted from the planet's surface, knocking Aurora off course at the speed of light and causing a devastating crash. After the impact, the spacecraft suffered extensive structural damage, which scattered a huge field of debris at the crash site and over much of the planet's ocean.
The survivors of the crash, including protagonist Riley Robinson, were trapped in the watery environment of planet 4546B. The Aurora Wreck became a critical point for exploration and survival. Scattered throughout the location are critical resources, technology blueprints, and clues to the mission's ill-fated history, essential to escaping the alien waters.
