Originally created by Eric Kripke, the series follows the journey of two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, who come from a long line of hunters. Their mission in life, given to them by their absent father, is to fight the encroaching darkness and eliminate the many supernatural threats that befall the innocent and unprepared.

The series is a clever mix of horror, mystery, drama and comedy, mixing folklore and urban legends with original stories. The universe extends beyond Earth and includes other realms from heaven to hell and purgatory. Characters, both loved and hated, come and go, but the relationship between the Winchester brothers always remains at the heart of the show.
