Split is a stunning and diverse map set in the exciting VALORANT universe, where traditional meets cutting edge technology. Blending old-world serenity with complex towering structures, it seamlessly immerses players in a contrasting environment. The various viewpoints and tangled alleys make the approach to Split as strategic as it is challenging. Fast vertical access rigs keep players on their toes, while quick elevation changes keep the battlefield dynamic. The game was even more challenging with two locations: a location between skyscrapers and a B location hidden in quiet courtyards. Whether it's meticulous planning or frantic action, Split brings out the best in each agent. Play where old traditions collide with tomorrow's technological advances, only in Split.

Overview

Split, a city cityscape, is one of the most iconic maps in the VALORANT universe. Located in the heart of Japan, this map features an impressive mix of traditional Japanese architecture and futuristic technological advancements. The city may seem intimidating at first glance with its towering skyscrapers and complex road networks, but players quickly appreciate the strategic depth and complexity of the map as they tour the location.
On one side of the map is the defender's territory. This area features narrow corridors and tight paths, requiring teams to take a more strategic approach to defend successfully. On the other hand, the territory of the attacker is quite large. Access to higher vantage points and wide open spaces allows teams to regroup and launch effective coordinated attacks.
The center of the Split map, aptly named "The Middle", is a hot battleground. Both teams seek to gain control of this region due to its strategic importance. A team that successfully controls the "Middle" can easily switch from one site to another, putting pressure on the opposing team and opening up more opportunities to play. Split's unique verticality sets it apart from other maps in the VALORANT universe. High-altitude perks, towering platforms and rope climbs emphasize vertical shootouts, making every encounter exciting.
If you venture to Split, it's more like a game of chess. With every move having potential consequences, teams must communicate effectively, plan their progress, and adapt to opposing tactics. The impressive map design combined with the dynamic gameplay allows you to navigate the streets of Split in an exciting experience in the VALORANT universe.

History

The Rift is an iconic location in the enigmatic and energetic world of Valorant. This bustling metropolis, combining futurism and tradition, perfectly resembles a world caught between polarized ideologies.

Split is known for its innovative technological advancements. Unique and impressive structures glow in neon lights powered by the advanced technology of Kingdom Corporation. Kingdom Corp can be seen everywhere, on skyscrapers, billboards, and even large screenplays. However, amidst the futuristic horizon, Split reveals its other face - a tribute to the past, where traditional Japanese architecture harmoniously intertwines with ultra-modern surroundings.

Split is characterized by dichotomy not only in terms of architecture, but also in terms of landscape. The city is divided by a wide and dangerous gorge. This deep scar tells a lot about Split's turbulent past and the resonance of radiant energy!

  • The city is dominated by the height marker towards the defenders spawn; here the majestic structures of the Kingdom corporation stand proudly.
  • On the other hand, the lower part evokes feelings of urban solidity. The cityscape is made up of quaint ramen shops, traditional houses, and bustling streets overlooked by the kingdom's skyscrapers.

Thus, Split is not only a battlefield for brave agents, but also a playground for conflicting beliefs: progress and tradition, strength and resistance, and of course, radians and humans. It's more than just a card; is a story that tells us that every location in the Valorant universe is a testament to the past and a harbinger of the future.

Background

Split is a military industrial complex in the bustling city of Tokyo, in the heart of Japan. It is both a majestic sight and an impressive fortress with skyscrapers that graze in the clouds and elegant neo-futuristic architecture. The map is divided into two starkly contrasting parts, with a high-tech corporate tower shining on one side, and a darker, downtrodden environment on the other, full of signs of riots and civil unrest.

Corporation: on one side of Split stands an architectural wonder - an impressive corporate monolith. This side of the map offers a glimpse into a utopian future with bright, pristine corridors, sophisticated security systems, and advanced technology at every turn. The company's control and influence can be felt in the impressive structure that dominates the city landscape.

Riaušiau quarter: across the street is Rioušiau quarter, a vivid reminder of the struggle against corporate monopoly. The environment here is much rougher: graffiti scrawled on the walls, traces of riots and garbage everywhere, everything looks a bit abandoned, as if it is constantly resisting oppressive forces. It is very different from the enterprise and represents the recklessness and wit of ordinary people against monolithic power.

At the heart of Split is a teleporter system that instantly transports agents from one end of the valley to the other, providing a unique tactical element. This "split" between the high-end business world and the sick Riot Quarter, combined with advanced technical features, gives Split a unique charm and challenging gameplay experience in the VALORANT universe.

Recognizing Split's personality takes time. It is not only a battlefield, but also a symbol of the greatest conflict in the VALORANT universe: the balance between power and rebellion, between control and chaos.
