The Walking Dead Universe, a post-apocalyptic horror television series based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, presents a world one year after the zombie apocalypse. Society was divided, and the world was overrun by flesh-eating walkers (zombies), and in chaos, the remnants of civilized communities.

The series begins when Kentucky Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma to this terrifying new world. Become the leader of a group of survivors from Atlanta, Georgia, who struggle to survive under the near-constant threat of attacks from zombies and other hostile human communities. The characters are tested by ethical conflicts, losses, hope for better days and the desire to protect their new family.

Overview

The Walking Dead universe is an apocalyptic world dominated by restless and passionate undead known as walkers. In a once normal world like ours, an inexplicable virus outbreak has turned the living into flesh-hungry zombies, forcing civilizations and governments to collapse. The series focuses on the trials and tribulations of a group of survivors who must navigate this ravaged world, often proving that the living can be more dangerous than the dead. It's not just about surviving zombies, it's about how the mistakes, choices, and morals of the survivors can be just as deadly as the walkers themselves. The main themes are leadership, morality, trauma and the will to survive. It may be a dystopian zombie world, but the essence is the human spirit fighting against all odds.
