Originally, Redania was an enclave of tribal societies. Everything changed when Abrad the Old Oak united the tribes and created a kingdom. As the first king, Abraham laid the foundation for his future rule. Redania was deliberately located on an excellent trade route along the Pontar River, which led to rapid economic growth. Over the centuries, Redania has experienced many internal and external wars. Despite the conflict, the kingdom grew into a widely recognized political, economic and military power.

King Radovid V, known as "Radovid Stern", was an important figure in the history of Redania. His reign was marked by an intense hatred of non-humans and magic users.
