The Battle of Hogwarts, chronologically the last large-scale conflict of the Second Wizarding War, was a defining moment in the Harry Potter universe. This event was revealed in 1998. May 2 at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It featured key players on both the defensive and offensive fronts. This not only marked the end of many beloved characters such as Fred Weasley and Remus Lupin, but also marked the downfall of Lord Voldemort. The battle showed exemplary courage and unity among the students, teachers, and other members of the Hogwarts community against the Death Eaters. While it was sadly a harbinger of great destruction and loss, it also played a major role in restoring peace to the wizarding world.

History
