Overview

The Dreemurr family is at the center of the Undertale universe and serves as the royal family of the Underground. This faction is led by King Asgore Dreemur, known as the benevolent and respected ruler of the land of monsters. He is married to Toriel, a loving mother who adopts people who enter the subway.
Their biological son Asriel embodies the purity and innocence at the heart of the game's story. Despite his tragic fate, his wit as Flowey tests the moral compass of the sailor players. Frisk, their adopted child, is the main character who navigates the dungeon and shapes outcomes based on his own moral choices.
At the heart of interacting with Dreemurr are ethical choices. Their complex personalities and backgrounds add depth to the story, weave hope, forgiveness and redemption. Dreemurr not only dictates the direction of the story, but also reflects the consequences of the player's decisions.
Dreemurr's ultimate goal is to overcome the barrier between humans and the monster kingdom, which is based on a powerful monster that absorbs a person's soul. However, the sacrifices and moral consequences that this entails add emotional intensity to the Undertale universe. The central themes and lessons of Dreemurr's story deal with complex issues such as prejudice, sacrifice, and the value of life, which have a profound and unforgettable impact on players' decisions and perspectives.

History

Often considered the de facto royal family of monsters, the Dreemurr have a rich and storied history in the Undertale universe. Their origins date back to ancient times, and King Asgor Dreemur left an indelible mark on monster society with his benevolent rule.
King Asgore and his wife Toriel took the throne after the Great War between monsters and humans. They ruled wisely and fairly, ushering in an era of prosperity among the monsters. Asgore was known for its brave nature, and Toriel's selfless personality endeared her to their subjects. Their joy knew no bounds when their son Asriel was born. However, their happiness was short-lived when Asriel found a fallen human, later named Chara, near the borders of monster territory. The Dreemurs adopted Char as their own, showing their exemplary kindness and tolerance.
However, a series of unfortunate events lead to the deaths of Asriel and Chara, leaving Dreemurra in deep sadness. Fueled by pain and revenge, Asgore waged war against the humans, vowing to break the barrier that trapped them underground. His claim, though doubted by many, showed his devotion to his people and his willingness to do everything possible for their freedom.
Meanwhile, Toriel, frustrated by Asgore's desire for revenge, left him and the kingdom, took refuge in the ruins, and became the kind guardian of lost and wandering souls. His compassion in the face of tragedy showed an intact side of Dreemurr.
Years later, during the events of Undertale, the Dreemurs come into contact with another human, Frisk. Their interactions with Frisk and the choices they make lead to many possible outcomes that reveal the true complexity and depth of their characters. The Dreemurr story is a reflection of their strength, love, compassion and eternal struggle. They reflect the harsh reality and hopes of monster society, adding a crucial social and political dimension to the Undertale universe and making it a compelling world.

After escaping the ruins, you'll find yourself in Snowdin, featuring snowy landscapes and houses built of ice. Reminiscent of a wintry village, Snowdin contrasts sharply with the warm, vivid tones of the ruins. Ahead is a waterfall, an enchanted realm filled with underground pools of water. The waterfall is known for its vibrant and enchanting flora and is home to many aquatic monsters.

Further on, the volcanic field of Hotland is a stark contrast to the cold Snowdin with its eternally warm weather. Finally, at the center of the Monster World is New Home, a large city that is home to the Dreemurr royal family. Known for its gold-lit atmosphere and beautiful castle, the new home is a moment of the monsters' strong spirit and resilience. This spectacular variation of the landscape reflects the diversity and complexity of the Undertale universe and its inhabitants.
