Temeria is one of the most beautiful kingdoms in the northern realms of the Witcher universe. Nestled between the treacherous Blue and Mahakam Mountains, it offers a rich landscape from deep impenetrable forests to fertile river valleys and misty swamps with diverse ecosystems that are home to both mystical creatures and deadly monsters.
The reign of King Foltest, a loyal ally of the witches, brought an era of prosperity to this realm. The capital, Vizima, is a magnificent city known for its sturdy stone fortifications, bustling market square and majestic royal castle. Temeria's strong economy relies heavily on trade, agriculture, and mining, especially the lucrative trade in salt, timber, and precious metals. But after the calm in Temeria comes turmoil. Relentless discrimination against Inhumans, the occasional corrupted noble, and the constant threat of a Nilfgaardian invasion. But these challenges only increased his resilience. Temeria is home to many fascinating characters from the Witcher saga, including protagonist Geralt, sorceress Triss Merigold, and fiery rebel Vernon Roche. Their stories intertwine with the fate of this kingdom, making Temeria an unforgettable part of the Witcher universe.

History

Located in the northern kingdoms of the continent, the region of Temeria is celebrated around the world as a nation of rich historical significance. Founded in 839 when Desmodus and his descendants united the disparate tribes, Temeria quickly grew into a vast and influential empire.
From the beginning, Temeria faced several challenges. Predatory Nilfgaardian invasions, internal political turmoil, and power struggles among the royal family were commonplace. But the nation persevered, largely because of the indomitable spirit of the people and astute leadership. The territory of Temeria was home to several thriving cities, each adding its own charm and distinct look. The capital Vizima was a gem of trade and culture, while Maribor was important for its strategic military position. Other locations such as Ellander and Murivel also provide examples of Temeria polymorphism.
In the middle of the 12th century, King Foltest, one of its most famous rulers, rose in the empire. Despite the many controversies surrounding his rule, Foltest left an indelible mark on Temeria's history. His leadership led the nation through many adversities, leading to a period of relative peace and prosperity. Among his achievements was the widely praised defense of his kingdom against Nilfgaardian invasions during the Second Northern War.
However, Temeria suffered a tragic fate during the Third Northern War. The realm was caught in the crossfire of the Nilfgaardian and Redan warring forces, reduced to nothingness. After the war, Redania claimed the reign of the former kingdom, paving the way for an uncertain future. But there is hope in Temeria. Devoted to their homeland, the Roche Blue Stripes actively oppose Redan rule and fight for a free and sovereign Temeria. Their battle reflects the indomitable resilience that has characterized Temeria throughout its tumultuous history.
Temeria's story is truly compelling - one of ambition, endurance and survival against all odds. This story is a humble tribute to his legacy and an emblem of his possible rebirth in the future of the Witcher universe. The remains of Temeria's castles, historical documents and people's stories are eternal memories of a once great country. As before, the fate of Temeria rests with those brave enough to fight for it, leaving plenty of room for adventure, heroism, and perhaps recovery.
