Overview
Each deity is worshiped in a distinct nation and manifests its power in unique ways that correspond to their elemental inclinations. From Geo Archon Morax, alias Rex Lapis, who oversees prosperity and contracts in Liyue, to Anemo Archon, Barbata, symbol of freedom and song in Mondstadt, the Seven shape and guide the lives of mortals.
Seven are not immortal. They go through a repeated cycle of rising, falling and rising again, which shows their vulnerability. This cycle is both a paradox that adds to their mystery and a constant reminder of their humility.
Folklore and legends about the Seven have been passed down from generation to generation, and their temples, statues and relics are scattered throughout Teywat; they are vivid witnesses to their epic existence. Their influence is not only spiritual and metaphysical, but also the social and political structure of the respective nations.
As you drive through Teyvat, you feel their presence around every corner. Their stories, told in ancient texts, whispered in the wind, are carved into the landscape and immortalized in the hearts and souls of the people they protect. The seven regions, their characteristics, and their futures are shaped by the influence of the Seven, the embodiment of power and authority, in the universe of Genshin.
History
"The Story of Seven" is as old as time. At the beginning of the War of the Archons, which took place more than 2,000 years ago, these deities were victorious and earned the title of "Seven". Each took control of different nations, led their own people, and created unique cultures.
Mondstadt, under the tutelage of Anem Godos Barbatos, accepted "Liberty". Although Barbatos was a hands-off ruler, his belief in freedom greatly influenced the traditions of Mondstadt and its people, inspiring them to be free thinkers.
In contrast, Morax or Geo founded Archon Liyue, a company based on contracts and laws that reflect solidity. The eldest of the seven, he embodies wisdom and has a wealth of knowledge that is deeply woven into Liyue's heart. Ruled by the Electro Archon Beelzebul or Raiden Shogun, Inazuma is a realm of "Eternity," but its latest vision-hunting decree policy symbolizes a desperate quest for eternity, which marks a fascinating twist in the narrative.
Accounts of the other gods are still shrouded in mystery, but the historical record shows a unique ethos governing each of their realms. Buer of Sumeru, the land of wisdom, the Snow Tsarina who symbolizes "love", Fontaine Murata who deals with justice, and the god of Natlan, the predictable embodiment of passion.
Each member of The Seven has left an indelible mark on their respective regions. Their actions, decisions and beliefs are imprinted on the nations they protect and can be seen in the cultures, traditions and mindsets of their people. Their rule, however benevolent or oppressive, shapes Teyvat's history and its future. As we delve deeper into the Genshin Impact universe, the sagas of these gods will continue to unfold in both longevity and ephemerality.

Legacy and Impact
